OAKTON COUPLES BRIDGE CLUB RULES

2006-2007

1. The club will meet on the second and third Saturday of each month to play three tables. The schedule denotes which Saturday you are scheduled to play. If a couple cannot play on the night scheduled they may switch with another couple in the other group. You will retain your scores for the night you play rather than act as a sub for the other couple. The host couple can switch nights with the other host couple but all guests should be notified of a switch well in advance as with any other change in playing night.

2. The host couple will confirm the date and time with all guests as soon as possible.

3. The normal starting time is 7:30 PM.

4. Each couple is asked to pay $30.00 at the beginning of the season to cover expenses (i.e., prizes, party, etc.) Make checks payable to Joan or Barbara.

5. Each couple is responsible for getting their own substitutes in the event they are unable to play. They should inform the hosts of any substitutes.

6. Rubber bridge scoring will be used.

a. 25 hands will be played, five with each couple.

b. One bids will be played.

c. If a hand is passed out, it can be dealt twice more by the same dealer, then the deal will be passed.

d. The scoring is 300 points for a game and 100 points for a partial game if a rubber has not been completed. If both couples have a partial the 100 point rule does not apply.

7. At the end of each session, please submit the final scores to Jim Conrad.
